Pat is a history buff, animal lover, and author who researches and writes about the beautiful Jersey Shore, which is her home. She authored two books with Lulu Publishing, 13 Ghostly Tales & Yarns of the Navesink River (2016) and Ghostly Tales of Two Rivers (2017) before joining History Press in 2020. Since joining Arcadia/History Press , she has published four books with the History Press imprint, and four titles in the Arcadia Children's division. History Press releases include: Shark Attacks of the Jersey Shore (2020), Ghosts Along the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers. (2020), Shark Attacks of New York (2021), Haunted Jersey Shore Beaches, Boardwalks, and Lighthouses (2022). Her titles for the Children's Division of Arcadia include Ghostly Tales of the Jersey Shore (2023), Ghostly Tales of Panama City (2023). Jaws of the Jersey Shore ( May 2024), and Ghostly Tales of Nantucket (June 2024). She continues to research and write about the folklore and history of New Jersey.

B&N Signing : A haunting wonderful afternoon.

The wonderful folks at Barnes and Noble in Eatontown made the signing a wonderful event. It was my first signing so I was somewhat anxious and yet excited at the same time. Barnes and Noble were such gracious hosts. I was happy to share the afternoon with Weird New Jersey Publishing as well as two other local authors. We met so many wonderful and interesting people, sold lots of books, and turned that rainy Saturday into a spookily happy afternoon. Thanks to all who came out and in support. The graveyard shift at The Oceanic Bridge

This antique post card depicts the original Oceanic draw bridge. Opened with great fanfare in 1891 the 123 foot span rotated on central axis allowing ships to pass through with ease. It is the very bridge which is the site for ” Graveyard Shift at the Oceanic Bridge” , chapter nine in 13 Ghostly Tales and Yarns of the Navesink River. Although the picture shows an idyllic scene as a steamer passes through the open bridge, that is not the case when a young bridge tender comes face to face with a midnight gale and a steamship that didn’t exist.
